Shopify Store Redesign

When your store holds you back — slow, dated, mobile-broken or quietly leaking conversions — a redesign done right lifts sales without sacrificing the search equity you’ve already earned.

When does a store need a redesign?

Not when the design feels “old.” When the numbers say so. The usual signals:

  • Conversion rate below what your category should support
  • A mobile experience that looks like it was shrunk down from desktop
  • Product pages that bury the details shoppers actually need
  • Navigation that doesn’t match how customers search for your products
  • Slow page loads costing you sessions before they’re even counted
  • A design that no longer fits the brand you’ve become

If two or more of those ring true, the store has outgrown its foundation.

Redesigning without losing your rankings

This is the part most quotes avoid. A bad redesign can hand your organic traffic to competitors; a planned one protects it. Our SEO preservation process:

  • URL mapping. Every existing product, collection and content URL is mapped to its new home, with 301 redirects wherever anything moves.
  • Metadata and schema carried over. Titles, descriptions, image alt text and structured data migrate with the pages.
  • Architecture before appearance. We redesign the site structure while keeping the internal linking that made it rankable.
  • Phased rollout when it’s safer. For larger stores we can ship section by section and monitor impact between each phase.
  • Search Console watch-through. Indexing and performance are tracked before, during and after launch — and any drop gets investigated the same week.

The redesign process

1. Audit. Technical SEO, performance, conversion and design teardown of the current store.

2. Strategy. New information architecture, page templates and a redirect map — agreed before any pixels move.

3. Design. Full Figma design of the new store, mobile-first, with clickable prototypes.

4. Build with protection. Development runs in weekly sprints on staging while the live store keeps selling.

5. Cutover and monitoring. Launch day happens with minimal downtime, then we watch the data for 30 days (warranty included).

A redesign we can point to

Our most complete example is Rachel’s Texas Kitchen — a full storefront redesign and checkout conversion architecture that ended up at $35.8K in monthly sales with an 8.73% conversion rate.
